Howdy, my name is Toby Sumpter, and you’ve stumbled on to my blog.
I live in Moscow, Idaho, up in the smoke stack part of the state. My wife and I live with four of the small natives. And our days are filled with antics.
I serve as one of the pastors of Trinity Reformed Church, and I teach a couple of classes here and there. I’m usually carrying books around with me, my son takes me on star gazing walks, I try to keep up with baseball, and my wife is my high school sweetheart and there are pictures to prove it. I love a good cup of fresh black coffee, and I love my pastoral colleagues and the banter that makes up our ongoing conversations. My daughters are beautiful, and they allow me to take them on dates. Once upon a time, I used to be involved in theater and sometimes I still dream of being on stage.
The name of my blog comes from G.K. Chesterton’s fabulous short novel, Manalive, which you should definitely read.
